Hydrangea sympathy

This card doesn't seem to have any 3-D dimension to it but I think it turned out perfect. I love making hydrangea flowers - easy but always so pretty.

In the top left-hand corner, it reads: so sorry...

The inside reads: May the love of God grant you peace, the love of friends bring you comfort, and the love of your dear one live forever in your heart.

This is the last of the sympathy cards for the upcoming package. Hmmmm what occasion shall I do next?? Stop by again soon to see what it shall be.

Hope you like and thanks for looking!

Black & White w/a touch of color

There's something about this card...I think it really turned out quite nicely. Black and white with a touch of color is always a classic. With the white edges distressed, there's just a hint of white that makes this a perfect classy black and white sympathy card.

The black piece under "so sorry..." on the front is popped for dimension.

The inside reads: May you find comfort in God's word and in the knowledge that others care and sympathize with you

With Sympathy

Sorry :(   I am behind at posting these. UGH I will now try and finish last Saturday's cards.

This sympathy card was made with a double flower on the front. Each has a different texture to it, popped up with dimensionals and curled upward for a more 3-D look.

The inside reads: May the support of family and friends bring you comfort, and may loving memories heal your heart.

Check back soon and see more of what happened Saturday!

Lime Green & Yellow!

Well this thank you card is totally different from what I was thinking before I started from start to finish. LOL. Now that it's complete it's okay and is not going into the gift package that I'm putting together...I now have a totally different idea for those. So I will give this to someone else who has given me some unexpected gifts. It all works out in the end.  :o)

The vase and the yellow piece behind the the words are raised with dimensionals. The white layered pieces (outside and inside) are distressed in the lime green to match the base of the card.

The front reads: {thanks so much}

The inside reads:  Just a little note filled with a whole lot of gratitude.

Check back soon and see what else was happening on Saturday!

Pink & Red - Sympathy

This is another that i did on friday night.  I'm going to do a set of variety occasioned cards for someone's birthday in a few months and this is the start of them. This first is a  set of 4 sympathy cards.

I have been so into making these flowers - they're so easy and I just love how they turn out. They were made by using a scallop circle punch and because I have different sizes I can layer them! How fun is that?!

The inside reads: Keeping you close in thought and prayer.

Check back soon and see what was happening on Saturday!

Rainy Days

What a fun-filled creative weekend! Friday night I finished my March ATCs.  March theme was: Rainy Days

What better way to show a rainy day than rain falling off an umbrella? I hope you can see the rain drops?  I curled the top portion of the umbrella inward to give it a more real look then popped them up a little with dimensionals.   I just love how this turned out! Don't you?

Check back soon and see what was happening on Saturday!

Thanks

Last night I needed to make a couple  of thank you cards for orders I received.

I did them the same but changed the card base colors and one border trim was uniquely transformed to have a step to it. LOL. The sentiment says: just a little thanks". The scalloped circled is popped for dimension on these cards.

Thank you sunflowers

I wanted to make a thank you card for someone who does so much for others - people she doesn't even know. So Saturday night I made this card for her.

Okay I know this isn't very Spring-like but I made the outside sunflower and just had to use it! I scalloped the edges on both the yellow and brown. The brown  inner part of the sunflowers I embossed with Swiss Dots for that not so plain look.  For my dimension, both sunflowers are popped and the front yellow scalloped piece is also popped. On the bottom right side, it says: "(Just had to write to say)"; inside it says: "Thank you". I thought it was perfect for her.

Kitty Kisses

Friday night I started and completed February's ATC. The theme was "Kitty Kisses".

I couldn't locate my lips image quick enough so I did the next best thing - I put lipstick on and kissed my papers! LOL And what's lipstick without some gloss? So I added some Glossy Accents to them for the lip gloss. (Unfortunately it doesn't really show up on camera. SIGH) Now wasn't this clever!?  I then cut out a cute little kitty and popped her on. It didn't look complete, so I distressed the edges in grey to match the kitty.  (ILUC)

Business card pockets

Do you remember an earlier post where I had an extra green and purple card front from a swap and would be turning them into complete cards at a later date? Well here is one with the inside to match the outside. The card front was just attached to a white card base.

I needed to send some business cards to a friend and I came up with this brilliant idea! Why just plop them in a card when I can make matching  little pockets inside of the card to put them in! I think it turned out really cute! Although there's possibly a little to much glue on the sides or a tad  bit too short on the top pocket.

I matched the inside to the front strip but I reversed one so they would be the same but different and still matching throughout the card inside and out.

Swaps galore

What a great weekend! Friday night a friend stopped over and we did some  creating. Saturday I attended a 13-hour scrapbook event (what a FUN time!) then Sunday I did a little more on my own.

Saturday I was able to complete a swap that consisted of 15 card fronts and 2 months of ATCs - 8 each.

This first was for the 15 card fronts  swap. For whatever reason I knew exactly what I wanted to do as soon as I knew about the swap. Wish it was always that easy! LOL   The "thank you" is raised for dimension. Once I added the thank you, I looked at them and it just didn't look finished. It needed something. After I rounded the corners I knew that was it - it then looked complete.

This next was for last December's ATC swap. The theme was: "Leaves".  When I think of leaves I think of Fall so it could also be the perfect fall idea too. Each leaf was done in a different fall color but they were all distressed around the edges to add a little more fallish look to it and are all raised to add a little real ness.

The last is for January's ATC and this theme was "Coffee".  The "lace ribbon" was suppose to give the look that the cup is sitting on a table and the dotted background was intended as a wallpaper background. Hmmmm whatcha think? They say Miss U and each have a different color flower with a gem stone in the center. Ha the other 7 participants will have to fight over which color they're getting! LOL The cups are raised and have sparklies on them.  Most of you probably have realized that I like dimension and sparklies on my creations. :)

I had other things I had wished to have gotten through but with eating, chatting, learning from others and teaching things to others and looking at everyone else's wonderful projects - where does the time go! Looking forward to another fun-filled event sometime. Or maybe I'll host one. ???
