Thank you

Catch-up card

What can I say but...isn't DSP (Designer Series Paper) just FAB? They're such a help with all the different styles, patterns and textures that are available for creating our cards and with it, its the perfect addition to help bring everything together.

Christmas scene

I did this card for a Christmas swap over the weekend, I've got 2 more started for myself. Just need to put them all together. Had a little trouble at the beginning, but once the issue was figured out it went smooth sailing. The sleigh and horse were raised for a more 3-D look.

The inside reads: Christmas Is Love, With All The Trimmings. (opposite side) Merry Christmas

Pup Sympathy

I made this for friends of ours who recently lost their sweet Dixie.

Its a little hard to see as I made the dog black as Dixie was a black mutt. I made the nose the "crusty slick" nose that they sometimes have. The eyes are green.

Snow Friends

This is my July ATC submission titled: Snowmen. I added Dazzling Diamonds (sparklies) to the snow.

I think I'm just speechless with this set. LOL

Thanksgiving (2)

The close-up tells it all. This is my second Thanksgiving card submission.

Happy Thanksgiving (1)

As promised, the next 3 cards are for my Fall/Thanksgiving swap.

The base of the card is dark brown and has watermark of leaves throughout the front.

Fall

Here is my last Fall themed card for this swap.

I added a watermark of leaves on the base of the card. Added the orange "gems" for the extra touch. And what's Fall without a little mystery? Take a peek under the tabs!

Fall

This is my second Fall submission for my November cards.

I put leaves on the base as a background of the card for a watermark image. I picked up this Fall color ribbon at the flea market I went to last month, thought it was perfect for Fall cards! I cut the shape with a Nestabilities - Label 4 I believe - then flipped it for the embossed look. It turned out perfect this time!

Fall

This weekend I worked on a 2-part swap: Fall and Thanksgiving themes. The Fall theme is completed and the Thanksgiving theme is 1/3 complete. The next 3 posts are of my Fall cards I'm submitting. I will post the Thanksgiving ones when it's 100% complete. The requirement for both are 3 cards for each.

Nothing special here just lots of different fall colors. If you feel it's something special or have a question, please feel free to leave a comment. Thank you.

Happy Spring Birthday

Catch-up card.

This pretty birthday card was done in spring colors - yellow and teal. Once I finished this, I thought: hmmm the bow really made this card what it is.

Funny, after I finished this I also knew who this was going to. The funny thing is, her birthday is in the fall! Well I hope she'll forget about this between now and then! LOL

Just monkeyin' around

Catch-up card.

I had these images for several months and finally sat down and played with them. I just loved how this was coming to life as I was working on it and how it turned out. Thinking back, this is probably the best "fun" card I've done. Hmmm maybe I better start playing some more! :)

I popped the fence and also the monkey on it for a more dimensional look.

Congrats! - New Baby

Catch-up card

I had a little trouble with this one here and there towards the beginning process but before I knew it, it seemed to come together.

I popped the 3 images on the left and the stars in the center. Under the little feet is a sheer pale pink ribbon. I sponged around all the images to make them stand out more.

Birthday cupcake

Catch-up card.

I was really excited about making this birthday card. I came home earlier that day with the extra large cupcake image and the cupcake border punch.

I added lots of sparkle (Dazzling Diamonds) for the "frosting" and sparkling on the heart "candies".

Homemade Flowers

I will call this one of my "catch-up" cards. My catch up cards are some cards I had done before I entered the blog world and thought I'd share with you.

I made these "flowers" by criss crossing squares then added button brads in the centers and popping them onto the card. I also added button brads on the top corners. This was also my first card with my sew easy. A new way to add dimension.

Holiday Swap (2) "Stripes"

This is my second submission for my holiday swap. They can now go out in the mail tomorrow. Another month done. YAY!

I popped the top snowflake border and hung the embossed ornaments from it. I let the ornaments hang loosely for their true effect.

Holiday Swap (1) - "Stripes"

Last night while DH was still at work and all the DK were sleeping, I decided I was going to try and work on my next swap. The swap requirement is just 2 holiday cards and the theme is "stripes". Your 2 cards can be the same or different. Mine are different but similar.

For some reason no ideas were coming or any part of the design. Then all of a sudden it all clicked. I did 2 of this design. One will be for the swap and the other is for my stash of holiday cards.

The card opens from the side. I sponged around the Curly Label with the sentiment and the top half and sides in Old Olive. The sentiment is also popped. The DSP is actually all one one sheet - double sided - love how everything coordinates that way.

Hopefully I can do the other card tonight when all is quiet ... Then onto on another swap. LOL

Pink & Purple - thank you

As promised, here is the "sparkled" card I mentioned last weekend. The recipient has it and loved it! "And it's pink - I love it!".

I added Dazzling Diamonds around the flowers to make them sparkle. I knew she'd like the sparkles too. LOL Inside each flower there's a message: "thank you".
